hello, my name is Aleksandra Bresińska and I will have the pleasure to teach you during this English course. I did not want to be an anonymous person for you so I decided to write couple of words about me. I have been living in Poznan for five years and teaching at JDJ Bachalski for over a year and a half. The picture you can see was taken in Edinburgh during my last summer holidays. And this place has a sentimental value for me as I spent a year there - working, sightseeing, meeting people, falling in love in the place. There was no room for another picture as you would see me in medieval clothes in a castle with knights. I am not joking - I am a member of Knights\' Society. Middle Ages - as well as Scotland - is one of my small obsessions. But don\'t worry - there are only few ;) And I think this is what I can say about myself. Der deutsche Dramatiker Christian Friedrich Hebbel hat mal gesagt: „Wäre die Sprache ein Produkt des logischen Geistes anstatt des poetischen, so würden wir nur eine haben“. Wenn es so wäre, dann wäre Deuschland ein Country, in dem people im Internet oder im TV-Guide nach movies searchen und für big events in line-up stehen... Ein Country, wo youngsters new songs in ihren i-pod updaten und wo Mom dem Dad potato chips zu einem drink serviert.... Ein counrty, in dem man ein date arrangiert und french fries genießt... Ein Land, in dem die „Muttersprache“ zur „mother tongue“ verkommen ist! Glücklicherweise ist es nicht der Fall, denn Sprachenvielfalt bereichert die Welt! Und ich freue mich auf alle, die ihr Können um gute Deutschkenntnisse bereichern möchten!

Hi there ;) my name’s Karolina Hytry and I would be delighted to teach you this year :) Anyway, to cut a long story short here are the things that give at least a rough sketch of ‘some’ (i.e. the better) traits of my character. *I like: teaching, talking!, watching films and reading contemporary British literature *I love: ice-cream, music, hanging around with my friends and correcting essays;)*I hate: watching football *Wish I could: speak a few more languages and have more free time… I do not hope, yet I do believe that we will get on really well :) CU :)

Hi, I am James and I am from Birmingham in central England. I am a keen supporter of football and my team is, of course, Birmingham City F.C. Siento horror del silencio – es algo que me ahoga. Pienso que no es la sangre que me hierve en las venas, sino el lenguaje. Hasta luego! Bonjour à tout le monde! Je m’appelle Krystian et j’aime beaucoup parler avec les gens. Je trouve que le don de la parole est une des meilleures choses au monde. Pour cela je voudrais parler toutes les langues. J’ai horreur du silence – c’est quelque chose qui me tue. Je pense que ce n’est pas le sang qui coule dans mes veines, mais le langage. A très très bientôt !

My name is Steve and I come from a quirky little town in the NE of England called Middlesbrough. I have been in Poland a while now and have had the chance to visit many different cities and towns (although I have got to say that Poznan remains the bees knees!) My hobbies include music, travelling and football and when I am not working, I can be found either tapping my foot at gigs or cycling around Lake Malta
